SPT have created a range of different procurement models and services that we can tailor to our clients’ needs. Below are our most commonly used agreements in place today.
Contract Buyer
SPT have global partnerships where all purchases are processed by SPT, including following up the order delivery, negotiating payment terms and insuring on time delivery. Partnership models are in place in Europe, India and USA.
Approved Supplier
SPT are an approved supplier to many different companies in the Industrial, Manufacturing, Power sectors. With this model of procurement, we become a registered vendor on our clients’ supplier database and participate in competitive bidding of RFQs. We have sourced a wide array of products from all over the world. Our experience enables us to fully deliver on the Five Rights of Procurement: the Right Quality, Quantity, Place, Time and Price.
Aggregator
In this model, SPT can take control of our clients’ complete procurement and logistics requirements. We are currently supporting clients who have won a number of infrastructure projects across India, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Americas. Our Aggregator model allows companies to outsource their procurement and supply chain function to us, alleviating the need to invest in setting up their own offices to manage these functions. Using our vast purchasing and sourcing experience we are able to supply equipment or materials and consolidate shipments in the Indian Domestic market, UK through partners or globally, on behalf of our clients. Our dedicated supply chain team are experienced in trans-shipping and freight forwarding should our clients need these services. This has proven to be a popular model as it simplifies our customers’ cost centres by having one supplier and one invoice.
PSC Procurement supply contract
SPT have been entrusted with a number of PSCs. We also hold framework agreements to support aid agencies with specific product categories. With an experienced procurement and supply chain team dedicated to these agreements, we are well versed in catering to our clients’ needs such as creating production dossiers, customs documentation and technical guides. With this model, we have secured a large number of orders from clients wishing to fix their prices for a period of time, to simplify and streamline the quotation/ordering process. This agreement is often used for our clients that need to purchase mid-value but high frequency items.
Quality Control
Product Inspections
SPT and its partners performs a variety of inspections to ensure our customer’s order accuracy. To ensure we are always processing the right item, an inbound inspection is performed as items are received and then verified again by our inbound coordinators. Outbound orders are 100% electronically verified by our packaging department and subject to our outbound audit.
Supplier Performance measures
Supplier performance is tracked and analysed through ongoing evaluation by SPT quality control department, insuring the very best products of genuine nature are supplied. Domestic vendors go through the very most rigorous checks to insure the very best products are supplied to our clients.
Corrective Action Systems
SPT Consulting Services maintains documented processes for implementing formal corrective actions both internally, as well as with our supplier base.
Packing and Shipping
Orders flow through our validation process in which individual items are scanned. Counts are captured in our system to prevent the processing of incomplete or inaccurate orders. After the packing process is complete, our Quality Assurance team performs package audits on a sample basis. The orders are checked for item accuracy, quantity, packaging and documentation. Proper and/or protective packaging and labelling is prepared in accordance with the SPT Consulting Services packaging and labelling procedures. This assures that proper packing methods are followed and provides SPT Consulting Services with a tool for measuring our overall accuracy of outbound shipments.
